Let’s welcome our new colleague, Gabriel Stenlund, who will be the project manager for Brilliant Mentors of the Future.
How does it feel to be a part of Linköping Science Park?
Being a part of Linköping Science Park as a student feels both exciting and rewarding. What I find particularly inspiring is the balance between freedom and responsibility, having the chance to contribute with my own insights while also learning from experienced professionals. The Science Park fosters a collaborative atmosphere where ideas are constantly exchanged, and the dynamic energy here is incredibly motivating. It’s fulfilling to see how my involvement can have a positive impact on both the local business community and fellow students.
How did you find us and why did you want to work with Brilliant mentors of the future? I first learned about the mentorship program from Patrik Habbe, the previous project manager, who spoke highly of it and strongly encouraged me to apply. He shared how the program provided him with valuable knowledge and experiences that he values, which made me realize how much I would appreciate a part-time role like this.
I was drawn to the program because of the unique exchange between students and people in leading positions. It offers a rare opportunity to bridge the gap between generations and experiences, and I believe recognizing students and their needs is crucial for fostering meaningful mentorship relationships.
What are you going to work with here?
I will be working as the project manager for the Reversed Mentorship Program, where my primary responsibilities will include overseeing the marketing and recruitment efforts, conducting interviews, and ensuring the program runs smoothly. In addition to managing the marketing and interview processes, I will ensure that both students and senior leaders are matched optimally, so that the mentorships are mutually beneficial.
What is your backstory, the short version?
I’m a 5th-year M.Sc. Industrial Engineering and Management student, originally from the capital. My move to Linköping came about thanks to my cousin, who had such great things to say about the place that I decided to give it a go. It’s turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, I haven’t regretted it once.
In my spare time, I love letting my creative side come into practice. Whether it’s whipping up French onion soup or crafting delicious Vietnamese spring rolls, cooking is a true passion of mine. I find that combining my love for cooking with spending time with friends and girlfriend is one of life’s greatest pleasures.
The application for Brilliant Mentors of the Future opens October 3rd. Mark that day in your calendar and be ready to register!
