We welcome driven and talented students with a passion for medtech and cybersecurity to join our summer internship program in 2022. If you are interested in innovative and cutting-edge technology, we offer you the opportunity to use your ideas, energy, curiosity, and determination to contribute to our work. Our scope includes a wide range of interesting challenges, both within medical IT and secure communications. Many of our project are related to development of our software solutions, but we also offer opportunities within market analysis and business development. We want you to find a project that first and foremost is in line with your skills, interests, and ambitions. That’s the key to a successful summer internship.
For example, you could spend your summer working on or with:
- Machine learning
- Visualization
- VPN-solutions
- Web-applications
- Market investigation and/or competitive analysis
- Data analysis and development of data analytics framework

During your internship you are a full-fledged member of the Sectra family, and our mission and hope is that you leave us with a good understanding of who we are as an organization and our culture. Many of our previous summer interns end up coming back for part time projects, their master thesis and even full time after graduation. This is really the opportunity to get a preview of what life at Sectra has to offer. Being part of Sectra means joining an innovative organization with hundreds of colleagues that love to have fun together. What we do is serious business, no doubt about that, but we love (and need) to have fun and laugh together as well. This means you can expect various social events on a regular basis. Our headquarters in Linköping is home to half of our employees but we are always in close contact and collaboration with our colleagues and customers all around the world.
We expect our internship to start in the middle of June and end in August.
Qualifications
Our requirements are that you are:
- Enrolled in an engineering program with a strong academic background. Preferably within IT, software development, system development, industrial engineering or similar
- Interested in medical IT and/or secure communication
- Able to communicate without problem in both Swedish and English
- A Swedish citizen (required for our roles at Sectra Communications)

Our program is first and foremost designed for students with a passion and talent for technology so this is a must for any applicant. Our summer interns work to solve real challenges, often spurring innovations that change the way we do business.
