What’s the role?
As a Development Lead you will be leading the development of our cloud platform called Road Surface Information (RSI). The RSI platform is a family of products with a common aim of improving the safety and the comfort of our roads. The main input is data from millions of cars carrying NIRAs proprietary sensor fusion algorithm and the output is a complete view of the state of the road surface. Since the applications are often used in a mission critical environment, the level of quality has to be very high.
As Development Lead you will be part of the product management team for RSI and collaborate both with the NIRA Product Owners as well as customers. In addition, you will also be involved in the following:

Project management on internal improvement projects (collaboration, way of working etc.)

Together with your team, secure a long-lasting system architecture and platform strategy

Attract the right talent and build a high performing team
Your team
You will report to and work closely with the Product Manager and the rest of the product management team. The development engineers and Scrum Masters reporting to you are all working in different Scrum teams with responsibility for different parts of the RSI product, delivering new value adding features and insights in an agile manner.
Experience
You have solid work and leadership experience from high-tech software and quality driven industry, such as automotive, aviation, MedTech or similar. You have a genuine drive to empower people to develop themselves, in a fast-paced agile working environment. You understand the purpose of attracting talents in a continuous fashion and you are committed to building an engaging culture in line with NIRA’s core values. Since we are on a true journey and things change very quickly, we would like for you to have experience of the rapid changing environment we are in and thrive in.
You should also have experience from all phases in the software-development lifecycle, from fast prototyping and experimenting, to building a global service with millions of customers.
You speak English fluently, Swedish in a good way and possibly you speak other international languages.
