The TMHE Service Market organization consist of more than 5000 service technicians with an installed contract-base of more than 500.000 forklifts, out of which more than 220.000 are connected forklifts. Based on the information from our connected trucks we want to maximize the machine availability and uptime for our customers and we want to reduce the need for physical interventions by our technicians.
Challenges:
Today we maintain our customers' fleets following a standard service interval based on running hours. But in reality, the trucks are used in different applications and environments, which means that some trucks might be over-serviced and some forklifts might be under-serviced based on the actual usage. We want to be able to predict potential failures and secure that service is done at the right time based on usage patterns.
Today we need to send technicians to update software and parameter settings on the machines. If we could change parameters and update software remotely, we would be able to offer our customers an even higher machine availability, we would be more efficient and it would have a positive effect on our environmental footprint.
Our supply chain is a crucial component of our operations. We dedicate significant time and effort to continually enhancing it by optimizing stock levels, reducing lead times, and improving overall efficiency. Our products are complex, comprised of numerous parts that are shipped and sourced globally.
Therefore, we are eager to hear your insights on how we can harness new technologies to further advance our processes and performance.
Aftermarket is about supporting our customers during the whole lifetime of the Väderstad equipment, the best possible way. It includes a wide range of products and services, like replacement parts, modification and upgrades, as well as maintenance and service. It is the support system that ensures robustness, efficiency and modernization of the equipment to perform in an optimal way.
A key challenge in the aftermarket business is ensuring that the right part is available at the right time. Farmers depend on fast access to replacement parts to minimize downtime, especially during critical periods like planting and harvesting. We are committed to staying agile and responsive to these needs, and we recognize the importance of further developing proactive and predictive maintenance within the aftermarket sector.
Digital Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data lake analysis and AI Have the potential to change the way we control and operate our supply chain. Through supply chain analytics, on demand supply chain “what if” analysis, supply chain/functional analysis and possibly even business process analytics, the amount of data already available can be processed and bring value in new ways and make the supply chain more sustainable. Saab is keen to learn about your insights and solutions that can make our business more efficient, value driven and sustainable.
