Funding for green solutions

Testbed vouchers for reducing greenhouse gas emissions

As a part of the project Linköping Climate Neutral 2030, your company have the chance to get funding for your solution or product within the sustainability area by applying for test bed vouchers. There’s a total of six vouchers to be handed out – first come, first served!

The goal with test bed vouchers is to make it possible for small to medium-sized enterprises to test their solutions within the climate and energy sector in the municipality of Linköping.

Short about test bed vouchers

  • Each company can apply for one voucher per year.
  • There are six vouchers worth 20, 000 SEK each available per year.
  • The test partner must be a municipal company or administration.
  • The solution must be expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and contribute to making Linköping more innovative.

Collaboration with Linköping municipality - iCaptial Innovation fund

In 2023, Linköping became the first Swedish city to win the European Commission’s iCapital Awards in the category The Rising Innovative City. The award recognizes cities that develop innovative solutions to societal and sustainability challenges – while also improving life for their citizens.

The win came with a prize of EUR 500,000 – and Linköping is now reinvesting. SEK 3 million has been allocated to the new iCapital Innovation Fund.

The fund is designed to co-finance regional, national, or European innovation projects that address one or more societal or climate-related challenges.

Who can apply?
The fund is intended to co-finance innovation projects at the regional, national, or European level. To be eligible, projects must be led by a unit within Linköping Municipality’s administration. This means the project must fall within the municipality’s area of responsibility and comply with the Swedish Local Government Act.

That said, collaboration is both welcome and encouraged. Public organizations and companies are invited to join as partners, as long as the project is led by the municipality and aligned with its mission.
