Code Summer Camp- taking responsibility for the talent of tomorrow

The purpose of Code Summer Camp is to spark curiosity and interest in technology, programming, digital creativity, and problem-solving – no matter your previous experience.
Participants get hands-on with different programming languages and take part in inspiring sessions with our partners from the tech, IT, and industrial sectors.

“Learning more about programming and seeing what it actually involves made me more interested in it. And meeting new people and making new friends was a big bonus.”
– participant from 2024

More than ten years have passed since the first Code Summer Camp. What started as a local initiative has now grown into a national hybrid camp, with hubs in several locations across Sweden.

The business community supports the camp not only financially but also by contributing content – such as study visits and hands-on workshops during the camp. It’s a way to spark early interest in tech, but also a smart investment in future talent.

“We already know there’s a shortage of engineers – and it’s only going to grow. That’s why it’s strategically important for us to be part of initiatives like this, aimed at young people. It’s all about sparking and nurturing an interest in technology, and showing the wide range of exciting opportunities you can work with in the tech field.”
– Susanne Dalskog, Director Public Affairs & Regional Relations, Saab Aeronautics

Brilliant Mentors of the Future - Reversed mentorship builds bridges

What happens when you turn the tables and let a student be your mentor? In this program we are matching people in leading positions in companies, with students. This differs from previous examples of reversed mentorship in the way that this program aims at creating intercultural connections between universities and companies. The mentor and the mentee meet and discuss subjects that are relevant, interesting and developing for both parties. This is a chance for both professional and personal development for both company leader and student.

Join the program for:

  • Personal development and new perspectives
  • Skills development for the future
  • Attracting and understanding future talent

Digital competence and life long learning

In a world that’s evolving faster than ever, keeping your skills up to date is no longer optional – it’s essential. Lifelong learning needs to become the norm, embraced by both employers and employees. At Linköping Science Park, we support this shift by offering targeted learning opportunities. Through projects like Digital Competence for Business Competitiveness and Digital Competence for the Public Sector, we help tech and manufacturing companies – as well as public organizations – boost their digital skills and prepare for the challenges of tomorrow.

DIGITAL COMPETENCE FOR

Business Competetiveness

In a world that’s evolving at an ever-increasing pace, keeping skills up to date is more important than ever. Lifelong learning needs to become the norm – a priority for both employers and employees.

Through the project Digital Competence for Business Competitiveness, small and medium-sized companies in the tech and manufacturing sectors are offered training initiatives within for example AI and cyber security to strengthen the digital capabilities of their teams.

DIGITAL COMPETENCE FOR

Public Sector

Östergötland’s leaders are taking the lead in building a more digital public sector.

This project empowers managers and civil servants across the region by addressing the lack of digital skills that often holds back progress. Through training and lifelong learning, it strengthens both individual career prospects and the ability of organizations to drive digital transformation.

The initiative supports regional development by enabling more efficient processes, reducing environmental impact, and improving collaboration between public actors – all key to meeting the challenges of the future and ensuring sustainable public services.
