As part of the celebration of Visual Sweden’s upcoming 10-year anniversary, the program management is announcing additional project funding!
These projects should be in the form of feasibility or verification studies and focus on technology or market development to support the creation of new products or services. The program management encourages applications from new participants who haven’t applied previously, and seeks project ideas that apply to industry, medicine, or society, particularly those related to “human-in-the-loop” technologies or digital twins.
Applicants must meet Visual Sweden’s project criteria (see Appendix 1), and funding decisions will be based on the project’s potential in terms of the following evaluation criteria:
– Innovation level (preferably linked to research results/expertise)
– Relevance and market potential
– Societal benefits
– Credibility (cross-connections between sectors/actors/geographies)
The total call is for 1 MSEK, with each project eligible to receive up to 200 KSEK, which means approximately 5-10 projects are expected to be funded. The call is open to Visual Sweden’s entire network and is available for broad dissemination. Companies, researchers, and public organizations are all welcome to apply.
Funding allocation will follow this schedule:
2024-10-28 Invitation goes out and call opens
2024-11-30 Call closes
2025-01-15 Decisions are communicated to all applicants
2025-01-15 Project start (earliest possible)
2025-11-30 Project end (latest possible)
Project duration can range from 3 to 11 months. Project funding requires at least 50% co-financing, and collaborations between research groups, research institutes, companies, and stakeholders are encouraged. Researchers can have various roles, such as contributing to specific topics, providing state-of-the-art knowledge, acting as a sounding board, advising, etc.

2. Complete and send them to info@visualsweden.se.
3. Confirmation will be sent upon receipt.
