T&S Engineering Intelligence was one of the selected Proof of Concepts (PoC) of IndX2020. Their PoC was about automating quality control for technical drawings. By using AI, they could improve and identify errors in technical drawings that already existed in the CAD database and thereby avoiding unnecessary work and misconstruction.
The partner companies Väderstad and Siemens Energy could together identify the opportunity to delete errors that often occur in the design process. They implemented T&S Engineering Intelligence’sPoC and validated that this solution could save design review time – the drawings were more exact when sent to the geometry assurance function.
During 2022, they have been working on formulating and implementing rules of what a drawing should look like, what errors the AI function should find, and how they want to work with the system.
Väderstad has now signed a sharp contract with T&S where the system will be implemented for all construction managers at Väderstad and used daily. The system will be continuously updated with new features and new ways of identifying and deleting design errors.
