Is your company planning to establish in the USA?
The Commercial Service office in Stockholm is hosting a virtual in-market pitching event for Östergötland tech startups to pitch in front of a panel of judges, including venture capitalists and other investors. Companies that are interested in expanding to or investing in the U.S. are encouraged to join.
Ten companies will be chosen to participate and each of them gets 4 minutes to introduce itself, as well as 2 minutes to answer questions. The winner of the pitching session will receive a complimentary registration to attend the SelectUSA Investment Summit in Washington DC in person on May 1-4, and an invite to pitch in one of the Regional pitching sessions at the Investment Summit.
In-Market Pitching Event Criteria:
- Less than 10 years old (founded after January 2013)
- Up to $10 million in revenue
- Up to 40 employees
- Developing a new technology product or service, or delivering an existing technology to market in new ways
- Plans to expand to the U.S. within the next 2-3 years.
Register no later than March 20.

Select US Investment Summit in Washington DC, May 1-4, 2023 is organized by U. S. Departure of Commerce. Participants does not have to be the CEO or someone from Sweden, if the company already exists in other countries – “anyone can participate”.
You participate in a four-day program and pitching. Here you get a lot of information “about everything needed to do business in the USA”. Countries from all over the world participate. A group of companies usually participate from Sweden, sometimes with the American ambassador as delegation leader.
