At Linköping Science Park, we believe that innovation thrives when we open up to new perspectives and share knowledge. One of the most valuable ways to achieve this is by welcoming interns into our organization. They bring fresh insights, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn, while we, in turn, provide them with hands-on experience in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment.
During the autumn, our communications team had the pleasure of working alongside three talented interns: Hanna, Emelie, and Thea. Here, they share their experiences and reflections on their time at Linköping Science Park.
Hanna Rydin – Digital Marketing Specialist Intern
“My name is Hanna Rydin, and I am studying to become a digital marketing specialist. I recently completed an incredible 12-week internship at Linköping Science Park—an experience filled with learning, inspiration, and invaluable insights.
As part of my final internship before graduation, I had the privilege of joining the communications team, where I engaged in a variety of exciting tasks. I created content for social media and the website, helped plan and execute events, and contributed with written material and ideas for different projects. Testing my skills in a professional environment and applying my education in real-world scenarios has been extremely rewarding.
One of the highlights of my internship was participating in events focused on IoT, cybersecurity, and AI. Attending these events provided me with insight into some of the most current and innovative topics in the tech industry. It was inspiring to see how these fields are shaping the future of technology and business opportunities.
One of the key lessons I take away from this experience is the importance of structuring and prioritizing work effectively. Additionally, I have learned how crucial teamwork and communication are within an organization. Collaborating with project managers has shown me how clear and open dialogue contributes to smooth workflows and successful projects.
Finally, I would like to extend a huge thank you to Linköping Science Park for giving me the opportunity to be part of such an inspiring team. It has been a fantastic experience that I will always look back on with great joy.”
Emelie Taseva – Economics Intern
“Hello! My name is Emelie Taseva, and I am currently in my third and final year of studying Economics at Linköping University. During the autumn, I had the opportunity to complete a 17-week internship at Linköping Science Park.
My main responsibility during this period was to research and analyze a financial support system for business innovation in Linköping’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. This investigative work was carried out at the request of the Science Park’s Head of Communications. In addition, I had the chance to gain insight into the daily operations of the organization, participating in meetings, planning sessions, and events.
The internship has been an incredibly valuable experience, contributing to both my personal and professional development. I have had the opportunity to enhance my analytical and problem-solving skills, gaining confidence in my abilities. One of the most significant lessons I have learned is understanding how businesses collaborate within innovation environments and how these interactions foster growth—an aspect that has been fascinating to explore.
In conclusion, I want to express my sincere gratitude to the entire team at Linköping Science Park for welcoming me so warmly and providing me with the opportunity to be part of their work this autumn.”
Thea Ahl – Digital Marketing Communications Intern
“My name is Thea Ahl, and I am studying to become a Digital Marketing Communicator at Affärshögskolan in Linköping. Over the past 12 weeks, I have had the privilege of interning at Linköping Science Park, where I had the opportunity to follow the communications team in their daily work.
During my internship, I participated in multiple events, created written content, contributed to the ESF project for the public sector, and much more. The dynamic nature of Linköping Science Park meant that no two days were alike, and I quickly learned the importance of effective planning to manage a variety of exciting tasks.
One of the key takeaways from my internship is that the work is incredibly diverse, making prioritization an essential skill. Balancing multiple responsibilities at once can be challenging, but it also makes the work environment engaging and stimulating. I also leave this experience with a sense of fulfillment, hoping that my future workplace will be as inspiring as Linköping Science Park.
I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Linköping Science Park and the communications team for welcoming me so warmly and providing me with valuable new knowledge.”
Internships are a two-way street, where organizations and interns mutually benefit from shared knowledge, fresh perspectives, and valuable hands-on experience.
