Say hi to Robin Eriksson, our new project manager of IndX! With a background of working with startups at venture builder Hidden Dreams for two years, he is now ready to take on his next project at Linköping Science Park, zooming in on the startup arena IndX.
Robin actually came in contact with IndX a few years ago through a prior summer Internship manager of his, now working at Toyota Material Handling. During this period he was introduced to Lena Miranda, CEO of Linköping Science Park, and they started discussing potential master Thesis Projects.
“That time I headed to Stockholm instead, and now I am heading back to Linköping to pursue IndX,” he explains.
Through his earlier connections at Toyota Material Handling, he had been introduced to the IndX-concept, and when he saw the application he simply had to apply.
High expectations for the future
Robin has high expectations of what the work with IndX will bring. Startups often need guidance to fit their new technology to the market, while the industry giants need someone to shed a rapid light on what’s possible in the future. This to ensure future relevance and industry leadership.
“The partner companies have recognized the long-term benefits of collaboration and are willing to invest in maintaining competitiveness and sustainability. Overall, the steps taken by these companies establishing IndX can benefit not only themselves but also the region and Sweden as a whole.”
What will you focus on with IndX?
“My goal is to develop the arena by working as close as possible with the industry leaders Toyota Material Handling, Saab, Väderstad, and Husqvarna Group together with the startup companies that we see as their potential partners of collaboration,” Robin says.
Drawing from his previous experience in analysis and pre-startup processes, Robin is optimistic that he will be able to nudge startups in the right direction and create interest for IndX, through strategies of creating engagement by interpreting, understanding, and communicating stakeholder needs.
“I look forward to being a node in the incredible network that IndX is. To create innovation and cooperation by enabling and activating the best benefits from two worlds: The strength and stability of the industry giants and the fast pace and innovative force from the start-ups,” he says.
