How to create value through digitalization in an IoT context
– Asset monitoring, remote control and connectivity

Today, digitalization is revolutionizing how companies can create value. Integrated across operations, digitalization improves agility, advances operations and boosts resilience.

In this study – the fourth edition in the Ericsson IndustryLab report series, Future of Enterprises – the primary aim is to understand value creation through digitalization by investigating it in the context of three IoT use cases: Asset monitoring, remote control and connected offerings.

This comprehensive research encompasses 32 in-depth qualitative interviews and an online survey with 9,000 respondents, with half being decision-makers and the other half employees. The study virtually represents all industries across 15 markets.

By covering use case implementation challenges, the role of connectivity, and emerging digital tools, this study provides insights into the evolving landscape of enterprise digitalization.
