New control mechanism of investments in certain companies – Seminar/Webinar

Are you ready for the new control mechanism targeting investments in, among others, tech companies and start-ups engaged in emerging technologies?

As of 1 December 2023, Sweden’s new Foreign Direct Investment Act (Sw. lag om granskning av utländska direktinvesteringar) will enter into force. Nearly all investments (i.e. from capital contributions to other forms of equity and changes in control) in Swedish companies engaged in certain sectors must be cleared by authorities before closing. Ultimately, any investment deemed ‘foreign’ may be forbidden or cleared with conditions.

Advokatfirman Delphi will arrange a breakfast seminar and following that, a webinar, on Friday 20 October, where we will elaborate on the new FDI Act and discuss its consequences for tech companies and other companies within the targeted sectors. Our seminar/webinar will be hosted in Swedish.
