Recent global developments have uncovered long predicted crises, such as the climate crisis and extreme weather events, but also unexpected crises, such as the Covid-19 pandemic or the Ukraine conflict following by energy crisis and inflation. Aerospace is entering a new era where technological revolution needs to take place together with technological evolution in different areas to achieve the sustainability and greenhouse gas emissions targets set by the EU. This presentation will focus on advanced materials as well as critical, current and future applications in aerospace.
