Welcome to LiU SAI #6!
Welcome to LiU SAI #6 on Tuesday 21 of June at Linköping University. This time we focus on financial AI. Isaiah Hull from Riksbanken is our speaker and you will also get the opportunity to participate in discussion groups after the talk. An excellent opportunity for exchange of information, networking and to broaden your perspective about the subject. We’d like to see participants from the academia, business world, public sector and anyone who’s interested in AI and finances.
Isaiah Hull is a senior economist at the research division of the Riksbank. He holds a PhD in economics from Boston College and conducts research on computational economics, machine learning, and quantum computing. He is also the instructor for DataCamp’s “Introduction to TensorFlow in Python” course and the author of “Machine Learning for Economics in Finance in TensorFlow 2.”
His talk will start with a broad overview of the use of machine learning in economics and finance. It will then focus on two of his research projects, which apply natural language processing to problems in macroeconomics and central banking.

LiU SAI – Scene for AI
LiU SAI – Scene for AI – is an arena in which we arrange lectures and events with a focus on AI, in the partnership with AI Sweden.
The aim is to promote the AI-related work being done both at Linköping University and in regional industry. The idea with Scene for AI is to generate interest and be a natural gathering place for everybody who is interested in AI, thereby stimulating collaborations both within the university, local businesses and with other regional national and international actors interested in AI.
All events will be open for academia, industry and the general public. However, the specific target groups, technical depth and language will vary from event to event. All the events will be recorded and available to watch afterwards.
