Delivering targeted electrical signals to the brain can be a very powerful tool to treat several neurological diseases. However, the current technology has limitations—stiff, rigid electrodes can cause damage to the surrounding brain tissue over time.

To address these challenges, we are developing a new approach involving a liquid solution that can be injected into the brain. Once inside, this liquid solidifies into a flexible electrode that conforms to the brain’s natural shape and structure. This method aims to reduce tissue damage and improve the accuracy and effectiveness of brain stimulation, making the treatment safer and more adaptable for patients.

This innovation represents a step forward in brain health, offering a less invasive and potentially more effective treatment option.
