Held in Linköping, acknowledged as the European Rising Innovative City in the 2023 iCapital Award, the conference boasts a programme filled with inspiring keynote speakers, engaging panel discussions, interactive breakout sessions, and exclusive city tours. Join us to exchange ideas, connect with like-minded professionals, and gain actionable insights to empower your city, community, or organisation.

Break out session: Linköping – A safe city

Linköping strives to be a city that is safe and that residents and visitors feel that they are in a safe environment.

Safety can be supported in various ways. The city removes insecurity in the physical environment based on traditional security analyses.

But Linköping as a tech city also has a stated ambition to use new technology to create safety and security. It is about making sharper needs analyses, and making a larger part of the urban space available to more people.

During the session, we will walk through central Linköping to point out problems, study solutions and reason about how we can take security work one step further.

The session will be interactive and the participants will have the opportunity to contribute to Linköping’s safety and security.

About Test Arena for Safety-Creating Technologies.

Linköping Municipality has given Linköping Science Park the role with working on development and innovation in the area of safety, which has led to the creation of the project “Test Arena for Safety-Creating Technologies.” The project is carried out within the framework of the IoT World competence cluster. IoT world is the largest community that focuses on making society more efficient with the help of IoT. The network consists of committed project partners from research, business and public activities. The goal of the community is to gather expertise, experience and knowledge in an open network to continue building the national area of ​​strength.
