As part of the JASMEX project – Joint Acceleration of Smart City and Sustainable Mobility SME Export to Third Countries – a Nordic–Baltic mobility delegation joined the ITS European Congress 2026 in Istanbul.
The delegation brought together SMEs and organizations from Finland, Sweden and Estonia to showcase smart and sustainable mobility solutions and create new international business opportunities. The visit focused on helping SMEs grow internationally, build new partnerships and explore opportunities in the Turkish and Canadian markets.
Several SMEs were highlighted during the congress:
- Sitowise (Finland) presented solutions within infrastructure planning, digital asset management and transport systems.
- Triplesign (Sweden) showcased smart traffic information and road information systems.
- Spinn (Estonia) demonstrated digital mobility solutions and agile software development.
In addition, several other SMEs and stakeholders from the Nordic–Baltic region took part in meetings, networking activities and discussions during the event.
The delegation was represented at the ERTICO ITS European Pavilion under the Nordic+ brand, where participants met international companies, public organizations and potential partners. A Finnish reception was also held during the congress and attended by the Ambassador of Finland to Türkiye, Ms. Pirkko Hämäläinen, and Under-Secretary of State Mr. Jarno Syrjälä.
The participation in the congress was an important step within the JASMEX project to open new opportunities for SMEs wanting to grow in international markets. Through cooperation and joint visibility, the project aims to help companies find new business opportunities and scale their solutions to markets such as Türkiye and Canada.
