Info: Since January 1, 2026, Sara Karlsson holds a dual role as Project Manager for AI-ShiftLabs and Cluster Manager for the Eastern Node of Aerospace Cluster Sweden (ACS).

In AI-ShiftLabs, Sara leads efforts within a European Digital Innovation Hub initiative designed to support small and medium-sized manufacturing companies in their digital transformation and adoption of advanced technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, IoT and robotics. The project provides companies with access to expertise, services, and collaborative networks aimed at accelerating sustainable digitalization and practical implementation of new digital tools.

As Cluster Manager for the Eastern Node of Aerospace Cluster Sweden, Sara coordinates and supports aerospace-related organizations in East Sweden. Her role includes strengthening collaboration between industry, academia, and public actors, as well as contributing to the development of a resilient and competitive Swedish aerospace ecosystem.

Sara has a background in the defense industry from Saab Aeronautics, giving her deep insight into the aerospace sector’s core challenges, technologies, and development needs. Her professional experience also includes a role as Partner Manager at AI Sweden, Project Manager with an AI focus at Region Östergötland, as well as previous consultancy assignments in a range of organizations. Her expertise spans project management, organizational development, change management, and systems engineering.
