The process of crossing over to Additive Manufacturing (AM) has been going on for a few years already, and it is turning the common methods of design and manufacturing upside down. AM is clearly a disruptive technology and although the name suggests that it is a manufacturing technology, the greatest impact will be on the design process of our products. Göran will share how Saab approaches this technology and show some examples of Saab applications.
About the speaker: Göran Backlund is the CTO at Saab Dynamics AB, which is one of four Business Areas within Saab. He also manages the Saab AM Group, with participants from all parts of the Saab Group. Before he started working at Saab Dynamics, Göran has a background from, among others, Saab Aeronautics and Combitech.
