IMA Share connects companies in advanced materials that want to lend out or hire equipment and expertise from each other, working much like a sharing-economy service, but for production equipment, test equipment and specialist knowledge.

IMA Share is run by Innovative Materials Arena (IMA) and helps small and medium-sized businesses in Östergötland get started faster, test ideas and scale up production without investing in costly equipment of their own. Through the platform, you can find what you need from other companies, and offer your own equipment to others.

Who can join?

IMA Share is for companies and organisations in advanced materials based in Östergötland, whether you want to find equipment and expertise or offer your own to others. It’s particularly suited to small and medium-sized businesses looking to start or scale up production without major investment of their own.

Places and sign-up

Sign-up is rolling, with no cap on how many pieces of equipment or areas of expertise you can list, or how much you can search for. Create an account to get in touch with equipment owners. Administrative access requires your account to be linked to one of IMA’s member organisations.

Availability

The service is open all year round, with no end date. You decide when to start sharing or searching for equipment, and can join or step back whenever it suits your business.

Cost

It’s free to join today. IMA keeps evaluating the service’s value, and a lower fee to cover running and developing the platform isn’t ruled out further down the line.
