We’re excited to introduce our new team members, Thea Forsberg and Aurora Odén! We wanted to learn more about their background and their roles here at Linköping Science Park, so we asked them to share their story. Let’s get to know them better!
How did you find us?
Thea: I started my time at Linköping Science Park as an intern a little over a year ago. When it was time for me to graduate, there was an opportunity for me to come back here and of course I took it because I really enjoyed my time here!
Aurora: Before starting my current role, I worked at the creative agency Backoffice, where I collaborated closely with Linköping Science Park. When it was time for me to take the next step in my career, a position as communications manager opened up at the park — and it felt like the perfect fit.
What’s your background?
Thea: I studied Graphic Design and Communication at Linköping University, and it was through the program I did my internship here. At the same time I worked for over a year as a marketing assistant and have taken on a lot of shorter job assignments, such as graphic illustrator, photographer and UX designer.
I’m originally from Sollefteå in Västernorrland but moved down here to study – and believe it or not, because my partner was going to work at försvarsmakten.
Aurora: I’ve always had a strong interest in design and creativity, and in 2021 I decided to move from Stockholm to Norrköping to study Graphic Design and Communication at Linköping University. During my final year at university I started working at Backoffice, where I continued full-time after graduating. This role gave me the opportunity to significantly expand my knowledge and experience in both graphic design and communication.
What’s your role at Linköping Science Park?
Thea: I’m a communications manager and will have a broad role working across different platforms and tasks. However, I’ll mainly be responsible for the communication for Swedish Scaleups.
Aurora: I’m also a communications manager, sharing the same key responsibilities as Thea. I work across multiple platforms, but with a primary focus on managing Cyberly’s communication.
What are you looking forward to the most?
Thea: I’m most excited to get to know all the colleagues and companies in the park even better. I’ve already realized how amazing Linköping is when it comes to tech and also the academic world. It’s truly inspiring to write articles and posts about innovative companies almost every day!
Aurora: I’m genuinely curious about and inspired by Linköping Science Park as an organization, and I look forward to diving deeper into the company, learning more about the different focus areas within the park and getting to know all my colleagues better. I’m also excited to take on a new role that will allow me to further expand my communication skills.
3 facts about Thea
- I love animals and a year ago I adopted a rescue dog – so if you ever want to talk about pets or dogs, hit me up!
- I really enjoy painting and probably only have self-painted artwork at home.
- I use a PC and android (so I’m a bit of an odd one out in the communications team.)
3 facts about Aurora
- When I was 11-12 years old, I was the friend who made blog headers for all of my friends – so graphic design was probably the right career choice!
- Life is better with fika – especially if there’s mud cake or cheesecake, if you ask me.
- Above all, I love spending time in the stable, riding horses or just being in nature!
