The Logiconomi platform is Toyota Material Handling Europe’s platform for future-focused conversations in logistics. The idea is: bring the industry together to understand challenges, explore trends, and discover emerging tech.
The first Logiconomi Forum was held at Toyota Material Handling Europe’s headquarter and factory in Mjölby, Sweden. Today, it’s a biennial event that brings logistics professionals from across Europe together. In 2025, the event took place in Marseille – and thanks to Linköping Science Park’s startup program IndX, several startups has been connected and invited to Logiconomi Connections and the event.
So, what’s indX got to do with it?
Quite a bit. IndX has become a bridge between startups and the Logiconomi ecosystem. Through the Logiconomi Connections platform, IndX-connected startups like Atoptima, Dazoq, Elain and Warebee have connected with Toyota Material Handling Europe, and some of them had the chance to pitch their innovations at the 2025 Logiconomi event in Marseille, France.
“Over recent years, through many discussions with our customers, we have learnt that companies have many requirements in their logistics operations where they are looking for creative and innovative solutions. At the last Logiconomi we invited a number of startups to present their concepts, and it proved to be extremely useful for many of our customers. So, we’ve decided to build on the idea, and we have now set up a platform, where people can explore new ideas and innovations for logistics, with the aim of improving efficiency and solving problems. And that is what we’re calling Logiconomi Connections,” says Fredrik Wigh.
Enabling long-term contacts with several industrial players
“Being part of Logiconomi has been a great opportunity to connect with their ecosystem. We’ve initiated promising long-term contacts with several industrial players. Toyota’s commercial teams have also played a key role by identifying logistics needs and opening doors for the right conversations,” says Eva Payet, Marketing Manager at Atoptima.
Atoptima offers optimization-as-a-service, helping logistics teams make better decisions when planning transportation, packing, warehousing, and production.
“Our IndX experience was smooth and effective. After an initial meeting at VivaTech, we got the chance to pitch directly to IndX partners. That led to a connection with Toyota Material Handling Europe, which grew stronger through the Logiconomi Connections platform and the 2025 event in Marseille,” they explain.
Warebee applied to IndX, caught the attention of Toyota Material Handling Europe and was introduced to collaborate.
“As strong believers in ecosystem thinking, we see Logiconomi Connections as the perfect platform. It creates a win-win for us, other members, partners, and our shared customers. Thanks to support from Toyota’s innovation team, we’ve quickly gained traction with customers across Europe and in their spare parts operations. That momentum has already turned into an active customer and more opportunities on the horizon,” says Anatoly Fishgang, co-founder of Warebee.
Robin Eriksson, Program Manager IndX explains Warebee’s IndX journey:
“This is one way to connect with IndX partners, and it’s exactly what we mean when we say, “by simply applying, you’ve already made a connection with IndX partners.”’ It doesn’t necessarily mean you have to be selected or invited to our IndX calls — you might be contacted outside of that process as well.”
