Welcome to a practical workshop with Stanford University to explore how inclusive design can drive business value! Whether you’re working in tech, design, strategy, or innovation, this session offers a unique opportunity to rethink how your business approaches problem-solving and product development.

How can your business gain from broader perspectives? What intersectional factors are important for your company or venture? In today’s fast-changing market, innovation thrives at the intersection of technology, diversity, and design. The goal of intersectional design is to add value to business by developing new ideas, patents, and technologies, while enhancing social equity by making products and services that meet the needs of everyone across all of society.

What to expect

  • Three guided, fast-paced breakout sessions using specially designed cards to identify how intersectional design can impact your work
  • Group reflections to share insights and ideas
  • A fun, dynamic format that sparks creativity and fresh thinking!

In the workshop, participants will work in small groups through three fast-paced, seven-minute sessions using specially designed cards to explore how intersectional design could benefit their business or venture. Prof. Londa Schiebinger will guide each round with prompts, and afterwards, each group will share their insights with everyone in a short five-minute recap. The format is lively, collaborative, and designed to spark new ideas. Spots are limited, so make sure to register now!
