As an experienced UX Designer at Sectra you collaborate with end users – radiologists, pathologists, primary care doctors, nurses and IT managers – to create efficient and easy-to-use medical software products. You work in close collaboration with our development teams and help them bring the designs to life and ensure that all solutions are easy to use and intuitive. Sounds exciting? Working as a UX designer at Sectra

We believe that the key to creating the best products and services is through collaboration which lasts throughout the entire product lifecycle. You will build relationships with our customers and learn first-hand about their workflows, needs and pain points. Together with Eric, Anna, Henrik, Paul, Jeny and many more in the development teams you will implement the designed workflows. In cooperation with the Product Manager and Product Owner you will take features solving the customer needs and fit them into the roadmap.

You own the user experience of our products: develop insights about the intended users, create interaction concepts, attend to the details of the look and feel and plan and run validation studies.

You will also collaborate and share experiences with UX designers working with other Sectra products.

Skills & Requirements

At Sectra, we hire for attitude and ability – train for skill. This means who you are is more important than your previous experiences. There are a few core abilities that are central for any role. We always look for your willingness and ability to learn and take on new tasks fast, utilize previous experiences and quickly grasp new information. We also want you to have a strong analytical mindset in which we consider it to be important that you can understand and break down and solve problems. We also want you to be a good communicator where you can interact with colleagues, partners and customers in an effective, clear and constructive way.

What do you bring?

You have successful previous experience from working as a UX designer. As a person you are driven, curious and communicative and not afraid to try new ideas. You are easy to work with, good at building relations and contribute strongly to dialogue and an open climate. You also have a strong ability to create and present deliverables, such as interaction design concepts or visual design mock-ups.

In addition to these abilities, we also want you to:

  • University-level education with a focus on cognitive science, interaction design, usability, visual design or a related field
  • Fluency in Swedish and English
  • At least two years of UX design experience
  • Experience in working alongside developers to prototype and implement design solutions
  • Experience in working with product owners/managers to understand business goals and requirements
  • Strong interest and/or experience in working with user research

We consider it a great asset if you:

  • Speak more languages than those required above
  • Have experience of other cultures
  • Have interests besides school/work, such as sports, music, horseback riding, singing or why not bobbin lace?
  • Don’t like to sit in unnecessary meetings, we prefer to think and develop software
