We at NIRA believe in making roads safer by developing sophisticated software solutions for passenger cars. Our solutions are used in everything from controlling vehicle dynamics locally in the car to creating real-time road condition maps for autonomous vehicles travelling in challenging weather and road conditions.
As Development Lead you will lead and be a part of the engineering team developing NIRA’s road friction estimator Tire Grip Indicator (TGI) and you will collaborate closely with your development team within the TGI product organization as well as with the NIRA organization in large. You will be part of the product management team for TGI and collaborate with a wide range of external stakeholders and automotive industry customers.
Who are you?
You have solid work and leadership experience from hightech software and quality driven industry, such as automotive, aviation, medtech or similar. You have a genuine drive to empower people to develop themselves, in a fast-paced agile working environment. You understand the purpose of attracting talents in a continuous fashion and you are committed to building an engaging culture in line with NIRA’s core values. You speak English fluently, Swedish in a good way and possibly you speak other international languages.
If you on top carry knowledge about standards- and process-frameworks like Automotive SPICE, ISO or similar, consider yourself the perfect candidate.
Your team
You will report to and work closely with the Product Manager for TGI and the rest of the TGI product management team. Your daily work, responsibilities and challenges will be shared with your technical wingman role, the Design Lead for TGI. The development engineers and Scrum Masters reporting to you are all working in different Scrum teams with responsibility for different parts of the TGI product, delivering new value adding features and insights in an agile manner.

- Continuously build and improve the performance of the team members
- Attract the right talent and build the high performing TGI dream team
- Make sure the right tools are available to deliver products with high performance and quality
- Together with your team, secure a long lasting system architecture
- Quality and process adherence; development quality and release quality
- Project management on internal improvement projects (collaboration, way of working etc.)
