Senior Program Lead at Karolinska Institutet / Partnerships Strategy Lead & R&D Specialist at BrainZell
Ana is a neuroscientist with more than 13 years of experience in academic, clinical, and industry research. Her research has focused on the mechanisms underlying neurodegenerative and psychiatric disorders, including Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder.
As a Career Program Manager and Career Advisor at Karolinska Institutet, Ana supports PhD students and researchers in their career development by providing tools, resources, and guidance for career paths both inside and outside academia.
In addition to her work in career development, Ana is actively involved in teaching, mentoring, science communication, grant writing, project management, and fostering multidisciplinary collaborations. She is passionate about helping researchers recognize the value of their skills and successfully navigate diverse career opportunities.
