We’re excited to introduce our new colleague – Gustav Pettersson, who is working as a project manager with focus on innovation and transformation.
Can you tell us a bit about your professional background so far?
For most of my career, I’ve worked as an analyst – making data into insights that help clients in both public and private sectors make smart decisions. My work has for example included employee, customer, brand surveys and evaluations of various projects. I’ve got a solid track record of delivering high-quality projects, and I’m passionate about getting things right. I’m also engaged in civil society and hold board positions in community organizations.
What made you interested in joining Linköping Science Park?
To get the chance to work at a place with a clear mission to make a positive impact and drive real change in society. That made me interested in joining Linköping Science Park. Also being at the intersection of business, public sector and university creates an inspiring environment. Linköping Science Park feels like a workplace that’s full of energy and optimism for the future.
What will you be focusing on in your role here at Linköping Science Park?
I’ll be working as a project manager with focus on innovation and transformation and primarily on a project connected to Linköping Municipality’s innovation efforts. Part of the prize money from iCapital award that Linköping won 2023 has been allocated in an innovation fund, iCapital Innovation fund, aimed at supporting innovation and the development of ideas within the municipality. I will work with managing applications to this fund, build partnerships with Linköping Municipality and external parties and improve access to external funding opportunities/projects. In addition I will work as a resource contributing to capacity-building efforts related to the municipality’s innovation work.
Beyond this I hope to contribute with my knowledge and energy on other projects here at Linköping Science Park.
What do you hope to achieve in your new role?
I’m excited and grateful to be joining Linköping Science Park – feeling both happy and full of anticipation for what’s ahead! I hope to make a positive impact through the projects I’m part of and people I will work with. I look forward to working together with everyone involved in the iCapital Innovation Fund. I’m also looking forward to getting the project off the ground and to see ideas turn into reality through funding from the innovation fund.
