Linköping Science Park is taking a step forward with a refreshed organizational structure designed to better meet tomorrow’s challenges. Under the continued leadership of CEO Lena Miranda, the organization is strengthening its internal capacity and operational excellence, ensuring it remains a vital engine for regional and national development.
Fredrik Larsson has been appointed the new Chief Operating Officer (COO). In this newly structured role, Fredrik will take on tactical and operational responsibility for the organization’s operations. His portfolio includes leading the Impact Arena, the operational core of our organisation that unites projects, platforms and clusters, as well as responsibility for communications, a function crucial to a park built on visibility, storytelling and collaboration. Before stepping into the COO role, Fredrik Larsson served as Head of Communications at Linköping Science Park, where he led the organization’s communication strategy and brand development.
The executive management team, consisting of Lena Miranda (CEO), Anna Broeders (CHRO), Cecilia Janzén (CFO), and Fredrik Larsson (COO), remains intact. This continuity at the leadership level ensures both strategic stability and more substantial day-to-day support for all staff.
– By redistributing leadership responsibilities, the new setup gives us more transparent decision-making processes, better prioritization support, and a more robust environment for employees to thrive, says Lena Miranda, CEO
While the internal leadership structure evolves, Linköping Science Park’s mission remains firmly rooted in its core strengths: cluster building, innovation leadership, project management, and talent attraction. Through platforms like IoT World, Cyberly, and Switch to Sweden, the organization will continue to foster ecosystems that drive technological advancement and societal progress locally, regionally, and nationally.
Crucially, the new organization enables a more dynamic and cross-functional approach to future challenges. Linköping Science Park is now positioned to align its activities with strategic areas identified by Region Östergötland and Linköping municipality, such as modern industry, defense innovation, future energy systems, and public sector transformation. By working more fluidly across teams and platforms, the park can match its expertise to emerging needs and scale its impact across sectors.
Adaptability is key in a fast-changing world. This reorganization reaffirms Linköping Science Park’s commitment to keeping pace and leading. Together, we can now build the collaborative, knowledge-driven society of the future.
The new organizational structure will take effect on May 19, 2025.
