We’re excited to welcome Julia Mitic to Linköping Science Park. Julia brings several years of experience as a communications professional working with businesses to solve global sustainability challenges. We sat down with her to learn more about her background and what she hopes to achieve in her new role as Communications Officer.
Welcome to the team! Could you give us a snapshot of your professional background?
Thank you for the warm welcome! I’m a communications professional with experience spanning multiple sectors and countries. In my previous roles, I’ve had the opportunity to work with global corporations, non-profit organizations, and academics to drive sustainable development. This journey has really fueled my passion for finding innovative ways to communicate about sustainability and inspire positive change.
What inspired your decision to join Linköping Science Park?
It was Linköping Science Park’s focus on collaboration and innovation that caught my attention. I believe that solving today’s big challenges requires collective action, and I’m thrilled to be part of a community that shares that vision.
Joining our team as a Communications Officer, what areas will you focus on primarily?
As for my role, I’ll be diving into cybersecurity and talent attraction, which are both fascinating areas to explore. Additionally, there’s a project called Water Wise Society focused on sustainable and resilient water management that I’m eager to contribute to. So, it’s going to be an exciting journey, and I can’t wait to see where it leads us.
Looking ahead, what do you hope to achieve in your new role?
I’m looking forward to immersing myself in the dynamic environment of Linköping Science Park and learning from the innovative projects and talented individuals around me. I hope to make a meaningful impact through strategic communication, contributing to the growth and visibility of the Park as a hub where businesses continue to innovate and thrive.
