Are you our new Continuous Integration Developer?

Do you believe in deep-learning, looking at life from a new perspective, setting course for the horizon and trust in your dreams? For us at Veoneer it’s all about trust! Trust in our employees, trust in collaboration, trust in the people and the world around us. We have faith in our possibilities. We fell for big ideas and we suppose it fell for us too.

In Linköping, we’re developing our camera systems. As a site, our responsibilities range from electronics and optics to software and vehicle testing. All vision development teams are working cross-functionally based on agile principles.

Our purpose-driven and curious teams are creating trust in mobility through human-centric innovation. We are today the largest pure-player in Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) and Autonomous Driving (AD). We design and manufacture products and solutions for active safety, autonomous driving, occupant protection and brake control.

So why not step out of your comfort zone, challenge yourself, innovate, learn in your everyday work !

WHAT YOU’LL DO?

As a Continuous Integration developer, your task is to develop and operate services used for Continuous Integration. Your tasks will include both developing code but also maintaining the services running it using DevOps principles. Your arsenal for building services with minimal downtime include unit and integration tests as well as automatic deployment tools, metrics and learnings from post mortems.

You are working in a team among other teams towards the same goal and the Large Scale Scrum framework is used for coordination. You will have a product owner who holds the overall priority but the team itself is self-organizing. You will often demonstrate your work to your customers and colleagues and will invent new ideas during hackathon events.

You will be working with a server park consisting of both Linux and Windows, coding in languages such as Python and Groovy. Some of the supported services are Gitlab, Jenkins, Zuul, Gerrit, GoCD and Artifactory. We use Elastic and Grafana for visualizing metrics and supervising our services, Ansible/Molecule for automatic deployments and Docker. Build systems such as Bazel and Buildbarn and web services are also part of the portfolio.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

You will bring development knowledge, understanding of how to operate servers and also thoughts on DevOps, Lean and Agile principles. You will practice these in your daily work but also be an ambassador, helping the teams and organizations that we support in being successful developing their own systems.

We currently see it as very meritable if you have knowledge in the build system Bazel. Other build system domain knowledge, such as experience with tools like Make, SCons, Gradle or Buck, is also of value.

WHAT WE OFFER?
  • A workplace with a passion for delivering on customer promises and excellence in our way of working
  • Highly competent and supportive colleagues
  • A workplace with ambition, drive and a “can do”-attitude
  • An important role in one of the most expansive technical fields; Autonomous driving
  • Good career and development possibilities

Veoneer appreciate the value that comes with diverse teams, and strive for a good balance between both gender and age as well as ethnicity and cultural diversity
