The IndX process

1. Focus areas

Each year, IndX defines a set of focus areas aligned with shared partner priorities.
These areas serve as a structured context for exploring common challenges and opportunities together.

In parallel, IndX also facilitates dialogues and collaborations based on more specific or individual partner needs.

Examples of previously explored areas include:

  • Smart Manufacturing
  • Service Market & Supply Chain
  • Operational Innovations
  • Autonomy & Robotics
  • Sustainability
  • Product Innovation

Each focus area may include a dedicated exploration cycle, taking place through digital sessions, on-site meetings or targeted introductions.

2. Application & screening

Applications can be submitted throughout the year and are reviewed in relation to relevant focus areas or specific partner-driven needs.

For each exploration cycle, an expert group from participating partner organizations reviews submissions and identifies companies for further dialogue.

Applications remain active unless updated or withdrawn, enabling continuous matching over time.

3. Structured review and dialogue

Selected companies are invited to participate in:

  • IndX exploration sessions
  • Digital pitch formats
  • Direct meetings with one or several partners

The objective is structured dialogue and mutual evaluation — whether within a shared focus area or a more tailored collaboration context.

All applicants receive feedback following review.

4. Follow-up pathways

If interest is confirmed, further discussions may follow, including:

  • Workshops
  • Proof of Concept
  • Pilot collaboration
  • Implementation pathways

Collaboration pathways are defined jointly between the venture and relevant partner organizations, based on context and needs.

5. Application archive

Applications that are not selected in a given cycle remain active for future consideration, unless otherwise requested.
This ensures that timing differences do not prevent future engagement.

Not all collaboration starts in a predefined focus area — but all follow a structured approach.
