Internet of things: part of Swedish government’s Innovation partnership programmes

The project is about strengthening Linköping’s municipality, and it’s companies using IoT to Increase quality and efficiency by creating a prototype in energy efficiency for district heating in a first step. Behind the application is Tekniska Verken, Ericsson, the Division of Energy Systems at Linköping University and Science Park Mjärdevi. The project is funded by Vinnova, and is part of the Swedish government’s Innovation partnership programmes


The Internet of Things – A national intiative

The Internet of Things, IoT is a national intiative with the purpose to make Sweden a leading force in the usage of the IoT. IoT Sweden is One of 17 strategic innovation programmes funded by The Swedish Energy Agency and Formas, Vinnova, the goverment research councils.

IoT Sweden finances innovative projects within Internet of Things. During the forthcoming years IoT Sweden will invest in IoT for an innovative society. The Focus is that IoT will contribute to solving societal challenges in cooperation with municipalities, companies and researchers and researchers in that strengthen the companies international competitiveness.
The projects funded within the programme emanate from public sector needs.
