Job Description

Imagine you could tell your friends that you have the best job in the world. Where you work with products that save lives and make a difference in society. Where your passion for leadership and experience from software development fits right in. Tomorrow this can be your reality, since we are now looking for a Group Manager within Radiology.

What’s in it for me?

As a Group Manager you will have personnel responsibility for a group of ~15 highly skilled individuals, divided into 2-3 agile development teams. You will work closely with your teams on a daily basis to make sure we can continue to deliver top notch software that facilitate the everyday work for radiologists at hospitals around the world.

You will lead, coach, and develop both individuals and teams, to make sure we reach our operational goals and feel energized and motivated while doing so. In your role, you care both about the well-being of your employees, their performance, and the products we deliver.

We believe in trust – we trust each other to do the right things. Therefore, we believe in taking decisions as close to the product and technical expertise as possible, so you and your teams have a large say in what happens within your area. You will also be part of the Radiology management team, that together form the future for Radiology at Sectra.

In your role, you will work closely with your teams, but you will also collaborate with many other roles and persons across the globe, both within Sectra and on the customer side.

It will be a fun and challenging journey with plenty of room to develop as a leader and grow together with the organization.

What do you bring?

You have successful experience from previous leadership roles as well as a background in software development. As a person you are good at building relations, motivating people, and building high-performing teams. At the same time, you are brave and dare to try new things and can take tough discussions when needed.

You are easy to work with and contribute strongly to dialogue and an open climate. You use feedback frequently in your work and create an inspiring working climate while maintaining focus on delivery and performance.

Qualifications

To succeed in this position, we think you have:

  • Master’s degree within computer science, media technology, IT or similar
  • Experience in leading others as well as building and developing teams
  • Experience from hands-on software engineering
  • Fluency in English and Swedish
  • Previous experience from the healthcare sector is a merit

In addition, we consider it an asset if you also:

  • Speak more languages than those required above
  • Have experience of other cultures
  • Have interests besides school/work, such as sports, sports leader, music, horseback riding, singing or flying (if you happen to have pilot’s license, you can fly to our customers in our own Sectra airplane) or anything else that makes you stand out from the crowd

At Sectra, we hire people for who they are and for their willingness and ability to learn, rather than for their previous experience. We expect you to have a strong educational background and a proven track record of success, but also a sense of humor when appropriate. If you are a fast learner and the right person for the job, we will train you to meet the requirements of your new position.

Most of all, we are looking for an open, passionate person who shares our values, is a true team player and will enjoy working with us at Sectra.

Please make sure to attach your CV, cover letter and transcripts/grades from both university and gymnasium/upper-secondary school in your application.
