Toyota Industries Europe (TIE) is the European holding company of Toyota Industries Corporation’s (TICO) based in Japan. TIE hosts business units such as Toyota Material Handling Europe, Vanderlande and viastore.
TIE has more than 20 000 employees. Our business units are primarily operating in the material handling and intralogistics area. We have presence in all major European markets. Although our business has its roots in Europe, approximately 15% of our operations are conducted outside the continent, with a primary focus on the United States and Asia. We are now building up the capability in TIE to support our business units to drive synergies and optimize corporate services, improve corporate governance, and build critical competence for the entire group.
Your Position
TIE is expanding its Financial control team and is now looking for a committed Group Financial Controller to join the team. In this role you will prepare the Group’s legal as well as operational financial statements by processing, analysing and quality assuring the financial information that the Group’s companies report. As a Group Financial controller you interact with colleagues from our other business units across the TIE group in Europe including Toyota Material Handling Europe, Vanderlande, and viastore as well as TICO in Japan.
In this role you report to the Director Financial Control TIE, Åsa Hammarström.
Your Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the financial reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with corporate standards.
- Prepare the TIE Group’s legal and TMHE operative consolidated financial statements.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Monitor and analyse financial performance metrics.
- Develop and maintain the Group’s reporting system, Cognos Controller, as well as the Group’s accounting principles and reporting instructions.
- Support and train the Group’s business units in accounting and reporting issues.
- Assist in projects linked to business processes and their impact on financial reporting.
Your Profile
- 3-5 years’ proven experience as a Financial Controller, external auditor or similar role.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards (IFRS) and regulations.
- Analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence decision-making.
- Knowledge and experience of the Group’s reporting system, Cognos Controller (an advantage).
- Fluent in English, with a high level of proficiency in both written and oral communication.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or related fields.
