The position
Toyota Material Handling Europe (TMHE) is seeking a Norm Engineer to join our dynamic R&D team at our European Headquarters in Mjölby, Sweden. In this role you’ll be working to ensuring our products comply with the latest norms and navigate the ever-evolving landscape of digital policy. You’ll represent TMHE R&D in forums and groups, shaping digital policy and product security discussions within Toyota, standardization and industry associations. You’ll also play a key role in advocating for TMHE’s interests as new digital regulations are developed.

Furthermore, your responsibilities will include:

  • monitoring new and changed product digital requirements (regulations/norms) and assess its impact on TMHE products.
  • supporting the rest of the TMHE organization with expert knowledge about product requirements and other relevant norms connected to digital regulations.
  • developing and maintaining tools and procedures needed to guarantee the TMHE product compliance in collaboration with the other relevant departments.
  • coordinating the TMHE R&D activities to fulfil the relevant requirements, guaranteeing the correct information management (also for other similar regulations).

Your profile

  • High knowledge of digital regulations and norms.
  • Good knowledge in safety of mobile machines, relevant systems and infrastructure.
  • Good knowledge in Product software, telematics, robotics and systems engineering.
  • Personal characteristics: analytic approach, team-working attitude, structured and meticulous.
  • Ability to build relations with different departments and to build consensus.
  • A Bachelor or equivalent in engineering is required.
  • Fluency in English is a requirement.
  • Fluency in Swedish is a requirement.
