Product Development Unit (PDU) Cloud RAN is leading the acceleration and creation of a cloud-native Radio Access Network (RAN) product offering. We are now looking for a Cloud-Native Transformation Leader to lead the PDU Cloud RAN organization through this journey. As a transformation leader, you will help to drive the next steps towards industrializing our End-to-End approach to Cloud Native. The transformation leader will define and drive strategy to transform our products and processes enabling Cloud Native development; working with the ongoing PDU cloud RAN programs and the PDU Leadership Team to achieve this.

We are looking for a transformation leader that is a self-starter, can identify the ambitious/problems areas where transformation is required, can adopt a structured approach to deliver that change in a global organization. The candidate should have previous experience in leading transformation programs End-to-End and also knowledge of cloud-native and microservice technologies.

What you will do

  • Lead the Cloud Native Transformation across PDU Cloud RAN
  • Define and drive the strategy to transform our products and processes enabling Cloud Native Development
  • Develop and execute plans for cloud native competence development across the organization
  • Manage a steering group where progress from each line/program is visible/supervised
  • Have an end-to-end vision of the impact of the Cloud native transformation
  • Limit scope of transformation where it does not make sense
  • Enable project interfaces coordination between PDU Cloud RAN internal and external programs
  • Work externally with the related organizations to determine concrete actions they do to facilitate the transformation and actions the PDU can take to help them adjust to the transformation
  • Ensure accurate and relevant communication channels in place across PDU to share best practices, the latest information, lessons learned
  • Engage with all other PDUs, Business Areas and industry leaders to learn from and offer support and leadership on similar transformation programs

You will bring

  • Have a degree / post-graduate degree in Computer Science or Engineering (MBA is a plus)
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in leadership roles in software development
  • Knowledge in the cloud and cloud-native technologies and ways of working is a must
  • Knowledge in Radio Access Network development
  • Proven track record in driving large transformation or change programs
  • Ability to lead other leaders (technical, program, and people)
  • Driving and embracing innovation and change with a collaborative approach
  • Ability to drive operational excellence, define targets, execute improvements
  • Understanding in cloud-native and microservice technologies and how these can be used to build the next-gen R&D WoW
  • Knowledge in re-use, opensource, and openness in general understanding how to deliver and compete in these spaces
  • High interest and capability to understand technology trends and how we can capitalize on the resulting opportunities
  • Have an interest in where the telecoms industry is going and how trends in other industries can be demonstrated to accelerate the transformation in PDU Cloud RAN
